My Design Journey
My Design Journey
From Physical to Digital
I started my journey in Industrial Design, building physical products. I quickly realized that the design process for digital products is surprisingly similar—we study user behavior, sketch concepts, and build prototypes to validate ideas. My background in physical formatting gives me a unique perspective on structure and usability in the digital space.
First UI/UX project in 2012
Back in school, I co-founded a side project called PoWeather, a crowdsourcing weather app released in 2012. It garnered over 30k downloads in the first two weeks and frequently ranked in the top 10 weather apps in Taiwan. Although we didn't secure the final funding after pitching at the AppWorks accelerator, the experience was invaluable. Looking back, I was ambitious but still learning the ropes of the UX process. That project taught me the end-to-end experience of turning ideas into a product and ignited my passion for building products as a UX designer.
My journey through TrendMicro and HTC
My professional career began at Trend Micro, where I spent two years designing enterprise security SaaS solutions. Later, I joined HTC (DeepQ) as a Principal Product Designer for nearly four years. There, I had the opportunity to work on national-scale healthcare platforms and advanced medical AI projects. These experiences laid a solid foundation for my ability to handle complex, data-heavy ecosystems and high-stakes user workflows.
Leading AI & Design Systems at Cornerstone
Recently, I’m a Senior Product Designer at Cornerstone OnDemand, where I’m exploring the intersection of AI and human experience. I lead the design strategy for our GenAI and search capabilities, defining how users interact with intelligent systems across our platform. Beyond innovation, I’m passionate about untangling complexity. I recently spearheaded the redesign of our core admin experience, transforming a workflow that used to take a week into a seamless 4-minute process. It’s been an incredible journey scaling complex systems that impact over 9 million users.
